Chakras are vortexes of energy within a body. Each chakra has two sides, a receiving side and a releasing side. The receiving side spins clockwise, while the releasing side spins counterclockwise.

In the human body, there are seven major chakras which are in a line from the top of the head down. Each of these is associated with a different color, as well as other things.

Crown Chakra
The crown chakra is associated with the color violet, and with the planet uranus. The crown chakra is located on the top of your head.

Third Eye Chakra
The 3rd eye chakra is associated with the color indigo, and with the planet Jupiter. The 3rd eye chakra is located between your eyebrows, over your 3rd eye.

Throat Chakra
The throat chakra is associated with the color blue, and with the planet Mercury. The throat chakra is located on your throat.

Heart Chakra
The heart chakra is associated with the color green, and with the planet Venus. The heart chakra is located beside the heart, in the middle of the chest.

Naval Chakra
The naval chakra is associated with the color yellow, and with the planet Mars. The naval chakra is located over your solar plexus, at the bottom of the rib cage.

Sacral Chakra
The sacral chakra is associated with the color orange, and with the moon. The sacral chakra is located over the belly button.

Root Chakra
The sacral chakra is associated with the color red, and with the planet Saturn. The root chakra is located on the pelvis.
